“Hello, Beautiful!” a new poem by Pete Rose that mentions the 2000 film Mission to Mars

Pete Rose, a writer and poet from England, recently published a new poem entitled “Hello, Beautiful!” on his website. Mentioning director Brian de Palma’s film Mission to Mars (2000), here are the opening lines of “Hello, Beautiful!”:

At the beginning of her “Unity Gathering” tonight
Mahsa played Payam singing “Immensity of Space”,
it’s beautiful music
with beautiful lyrics,
and my imagination turned yet again
to that image burned on the memory of my mind,
the huge disc of the Red Planet, Mars ...

An interesting poem, but too complex for me to understand.

The part you quoted isn't actually part of the poem from Pete Rose, it's a quotation from "The Hidden Words," a scripture/poem by Baha’u'llah, the founder/prophet of the Baha'I religion. I it was like a tribute or something. The actual poem begins with "At the beginning of her “Unity Gathering” tonight
Mahsa played Payam singing “Immensity of Space"

Thanks for correcting my error. I've made the change. Apologizes to Pete Rose.
