Geoff Marslett, an Austin filmmaker and lecturer at the University of Texas, is completing post-production of his first feature-length film,
Mars, a fictional animated romantic-comedy. Recently declared one of the "25 New Faces of Independent Film" by
Filmmaker Magazine, Marslett wrote and shot
Mars in 2007. "It's a romantic comedy about astronauts falling in love on their way to Mars. I wanted to show what it would be like to be locked in a little metal box and spending those nine months with just two other people,” he recently told
Austin360.com in a detailed discussion.
