Popular Science magazine talks to author Robert Zubrin on the eve of the publication of his new book, How to Live on Mars: a Trusty Guidebook to Surviving and Thriving on the Red Planet (2008). Written from the perspective of a pioneer born in New Plymouth, Mars, in 2071, the book blends science, fiction, and humor. How to Live on Mars is scheduled to hit bookstore shelves next week.
Dr. Robert Zubrin is an aerospace engineer, president of The Mars Society, and of one of the most vocal proponents for the human colonization of Mars. He is also the author of the science fiction novel First Landing (2001).
