Book Sale: A Mirror for Observers, a Classic Novel by Edgar Pangborn (1954)

One of those relics from the Golden Age of science fiction, A Mirror for Observers (1954), by Edgar Pangborn, is a novel in which “Martians play the part of guardian angels and their demonic counterparts, struggling to posses the soul of a human child with messianic potential.” The winner of the 1955 International Fantasy Award and an entry in David Pringle’s Science Fiction: the 100 Best Novels: an English-Language Selection, 1949-1984 (1985), here’s a neat first edition of A Mirror for Observers being offered by a bookseller at AbeBooks:
