Signed presentation copy inscribed by the author, Edgar Rice Burroughs to his daughter, Joan Burroughs, and her husband, James Pierce, the star of the 1928 silent film, Tarzan and the Golden Lion. Inscribed: "To Joan and Jim, With love, Ed., Tarzana, California." Fine in a used and rubbed dust jacket lacking an inch and one half piece at top of the spine, and has a few small tears. Joan and James Pierce starred as Jane and Tarzan on the serialized Adventures of Tarzan radio show in the 1930s.
