To make "Queen of Blood" Roger Corman uses a russian scifi movie "Meshte Nastreshu" (1963)

the entire film is viewable online:

Thanks for reminding me to add this one to the collection!
I'd forgotten about this movie, but I loved it as a kid. The story was stupid, but a lot of the special effects were pretty eye-popping, and, as anonymous said, they were pretty much lifted entirely from a Soviet SF film.
Yeah, we'll definitely be reviewing this one on Republibot soon! Thanks for reminding me of it!
This would be a good film to see at the Alamo Drafthouse ;)
Thanks to all for the comments.
Speaking of the Alamo Drafthouse, the cover art for the DVD of "Queen of Blood" looks a little like the reimagined movie posters that were being sold through the Alamo a few months ago.
Also, there was a paperback book titled "Queen of Blood," which seems to have been published around the same time the film was released.
