SFU: Imaginative transformation in C. S. Lewis's 1938 novel Out of the Silent Planet

Class is in session over at the blog Republibot, where Charlie W. Starr, a professor of English and Humanities at Kentucky Christian University, has written a scholarly piece entitled “Imaginative Transformation in C. S. Lewis's Out of the Silent Planet.” The first novel in Lewis’s science fiction trilogy, Out of the Silent Planet (1938) revolves around a British professor of philology who makes an unexpected journey to the planet Malacandra, a fictional version of Mars.
