New flash fiction: “Ticket” by J.R. Blackwell

The June 2009, #93, issue of Hub Magazine has a new and outstanding piece of gritty SF flash fiction entitled “Ticket” (2009), by writer, photographer and performance artist J.R. Blackwell. It’s a story about a Martian soldier and his fight for survival on Earth. Here’s the opening line: “Orion counted out six stimulant pills in his palm, the inheritance plundered from the pockets of his dead friends.”
