The Empress of Mars, a new full-length novel by Kage Baker, was released to the public yesterday as a limited edition hardcover. Published by Subterranean Press, the novel is an expansion of Baker’s award-winning 2003 novella of the same title. Subterranean Press reported on November 22nd that it had sold 350 of the 448 limited edition copies as pre-orders. Tor Books is scheduled to publish The Empress of Mars as a trade edition hardcover in 2009.
