Earlier this morning, we learned about the Eaton Science Fiction Conference, scheduled for May 16-18, 2008, at the University of California, Riverside.
The theme of the conference is Chronicling Mars and the event will focus on “the role of Mars in science fiction literature.” The main guests are Ray Bradbury and Frederik Pohl. Other expected speakers include Greg Bear, Gregory Benford, Ben Bova, Geoffrey A. Landis, and Kim Stanley Robinson. Arthur C. Clarke is scheduled to appear via teleconference from Sri Lanka.
For more information, please see the UC Riverside press release of December 17, 2007, the conference program, and the details of the Eaton Collection of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror.
